The results of the Macau-wide English Essay Competition result for 2023-2024 have been announced! The competition geared towards promoting The United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals with this year’s theme being “Nature and Me”. Over 1600 Macau students registered for the competition, and after several rounds of judging, our students achieved satisfying results this year!

Based on the theme “Nature and Me”, Junior Secondary English teachers designed mind maps and worksheets, guided students in conducting research, and assigned process writing tasks to help students organise and synthesize the information they gathered. Teachers dedicated significant time and effort to enhancing students’ writing, providing corrective feedback, and offering valuable advice. Through this competition, students have developed higher-order thinking skills, explored global topics, strengthened their writing skills, and gained confidence. Our F3 student Yohanna and F5 student Jancy were invited for a panel discussion during the ceremony.
