The Four Houses

Aim:

The House system has been established since 2016. All teachers and students are divided into four Houses: House of Anthony, House of St. Bakhita, House of Hodgkin and House of St. Teresa. Each House would organise a variety of educational activities for students to participate in and cross-house activities are also held to enhance the bonding between students. Through these activities, we aim to spark students’ interests in different areas and foster a sense of unity, allowing them to have a more enriching and memorable school life.

House Orientation

During the House Orientation, students take part in various interactive and team-based activities designed to strengthen their sense of belonging to the school house and deepen their understanding of the founder’s background. Through ice-breaking games and group challenges, students from different forms will communicate and collaborate together. The activities encourage sharing of ideas, mutual support, and teamwork, allowing participants to build trust and form lasting friendships. Ultimately, this experience fosters unity and positive relationships within the house community.

In-house Workshops

Through various workshops held by different Houses, students are able to achieve a balanced learning experience and enhance their sense of achievement through diversified learning modes. The workshop provides hands-on learning opportunities and encourages students to foster their creativity and manual skills. The workshops also promote students’ cooperation and problem-solving skills.

Sports Days

Involvement in Cheerleading performance organised among the four Houses offers a holistic development, which promotes physical and mental well-being. Simultaneously, it also serves as a catalyst for cultivating collaborative skills, interpersonal communication, a strong sense of belonging to Houses and the discovery of newfound interests.

During Sports Day, the Cross House Activity provides an opportunity for students to engage in friendly competition while promoting teamwork and physical fitness. This exciting activity encourages participants to work together, fostering a sense of camaraderie and school spirit. As House members pulled together against their opponents, they developed their strength and coordination, all while enjoying the thrill of the challenge. The event not only highlighted the importance of collaboration but also instilled a sense of achievement as teams celebrated their efforts and sportsmanship.

Secret Santa for You

The Christmas celebrating event (Secret Santa for You), which includes gift exchange and DIY workshop sessions, offered participants a unique blend of festive fun and creative expression. Through engaging in various activities, students can experience a holistic learning environment that nurtures their artistic talents and practical skills. The workshop fosters collaboration among peers, encouraging teamwork and enhancing communication abilities. Participants gain a sense of accomplishment and cherished memories, having crafted their own beautiful wreaths while celebrating the spirit of giving.

Cross House Activity

The eagerly anticipated Cross House Activity, held throughout the bustling months of March and April, provides a vital and dynamic outlet for students to relieve their academic stress. Beyond simply being a fun diversion, the series of events encourages students’ deeper connections, successfully boosting bonding among peers, and essential skills such as leadership, communication and teamwork.

Year-end Gathering

To wind up the year, House members come together for a Year-end Gathering designed to celebrate our shared journey and strengthen the bonds within respective Houses. Through different games, members from all forms connect and reminisce. The event encourages the sharing of memories, appreciation for one another and collective celebration of our achievements. Ultimately, this experience reinforces our house spirit and nurtures the lasting connections that define our community and send us into the new year with a renewed sense of unity and belonging.
